Healthy years, not just more years.

Health Span Club is a publication about healthspan: the part of life you spend in good health. We exist to make the science of ageing well clear, calm and useful.

Why we exist

Lifespan has grown dramatically over the past century. Healthspan hasn’t kept pace: many people now spend a decade or more of later life living with chronic illness. The good news is that a large share of what shapes those years (what we eat, how we move, how we sleep) is within reach.

The bad news is that the information is a mess. Health advice online swings between hype and fear, and it’s often written to sell something. We want to be the opposite: the place a curious, health-literate adult can come to understand what the evidence actually says, and then decide for themselves.

What we cover

Longevity, metabolic health, nutrition, protein & fiber, hydration, healthy aging, the GLP-1 era and sleep. Our weekly series, The Label Rule, reads one food-label ingredient at a time.

Our editorial standards

  • Evidence first

We start from the research, not from a conclusion. We give more weight to large human trials and systematic reviews than to single studies, animal work or headlines, and we tell you which is which.

  • Every source cited

Each article ends with the studies and official sources it relies on, linked so you can read them yourself. If we can’t source a claim, we don’t make it.

  • No hype

No miracle foods, no “one weird trick”, no fear-based headlines. Most of what matters for healthy ageing is unglamorous and cumulative, and we write about it that way.

  • Honest about uncertainty

Nutrition science is often mixed or still developing. When the evidence is limited or disputed, we say so plainly rather than rounding it up to certainty.

  • Nothing to sell you

We don’t sell products or run ads on this site, and no one pays to appear in our articles. Our only ask is that you read, and subscribe if it’s useful.

  • Corrections welcome

If we get something wrong, we fix it and note the update at the top of the article. We’d rather be corrected than be confidently wrong.

How we rate evidence

Every article carries an evidence label under its title. It describes how solid the science behind the article is overall, so you know how much weight to give it before you start reading.

Opinion and explainer pieces, like the introduction to a series, don’t carry a label.

Corrections and feedback

Found an error, a better study or a source we missed? Send us a note or email healthspanclub1@gmail.com. We read everything, and we’ll update the article and its date if a correction is needed.

A note on medical advice

Everything we publish is educational. It is not medical advice and it can’t account for your individual health, history or medications. Please talk to a doctor, registered dietitian or other qualified clinician before making changes, especially if you are pregnant, managing a health condition or taking prescription medicine.
